Paintshop Team Leader | Powder Coating | Wet Spray

Location: Staffordshire
Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour

Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Paintshop Team Leader to join our clients manufacturing facility in Staffordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on and motivated individual with strong experience in powder coating and wet spray painting to take the next step within a growing engineering and fabrication business.

You will lead the day-to-day operations of the paintshop department, ensuring production targets, quality standards and health & safety requirements are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily paintshop operations

• Lead and support the paintshop team to achieve production targets

• Carry out powder coating and wet spray painting to a high standard

• Prepare surfaces prior to painting including cleaning, masking and shotblasting

• Complete quality inspections to ensure customer specifications are met

• Allocate workloads effectively to meet delivery schedules

• Monitor paint, powder, consumables and PPE stock levels

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety

• Support training and development within the department

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

• Strong powder coating and wet spray painting experience

• Manufacturing, engineering or fabrication background

• Knowledge of surface preparation and finishing techniques

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

• Strong attention to detail and quality standards

• Ability to lead, motivate and support a team

Desirable

• Forklift licence
